Due to the outbreak of Coronavirus worldwide, and in the interest of public safety and the wellbeing of tour participants, we have cancelled the April, 2020 tour.
The tour scheduled for the end of May is looking very doubtful but we will keep updates on the website.

On this tour we visit a number of gardens in Wicklow, known as the Garden County as well as some further south in Wexford and Waterford.
Itinerary, Monday 27 to Friday 1, May, 2020.
Monday 27 April
MONDAY, 27th April Collect participants from Dublin hotels.
Proceed to MOUNT USHER GARDENS, ASHFORD, CO.WICKLOW.
Time to explore these magnificent gardens , with the River Vartry a special feature in the garden.
Lunch here at the ever-popular Avoca restaurant.
After lunch we travel to the KILMACURRAGH NATIONAL BOTANIC GARDEN, CO. WICKLOW, famed for its collection of trees, most notably conifers and large Rhododendrons. We will enjoy a guided tour here and a leisurely afternoon treat in the lovely on-site café.
Proceed to HUNTERS HOTEL, RATHNEW, CO.WICKLOW where we will overnight and have dinner.

Travel to POWERSCOURT GARDENS, ENNISKERRY, CO. WICKLOW. We will have a guided tour here and admire one of the most famous European gardens. Lunch here at the Avoca restaurant and time to explore the shops in the restored mansion.
Proceed to KILRUDDERY HOUSE & GARDENS, BRAY, CO.WICKLOW. This is a unique garden as it is the only remaining intact 17th century designed garden in Ireland. Be impressed by the scale and beauty of the design. A tour of the garden will be enjoyed, followed by afternoon teas in the restored dairy.
Then back to HUNTERS HOTEL for dinner and overnight.

Wednesday 29 April
WEDNESDAY, 29TH
Depart Hunters Hotel and proceed to THE BAY GARDEN, CAMOLIN, CO. WEXFORD where we will have a guided tour by owner Frances MacDonald.
From here we travel to COLCLOUGH WALLED GARDEN AND TINTERN ABBEY, HOOK PENINSULA, CO. WEXFORD. A fascinating insight to a Georgian walled garden built before 1814 by the Colclough family, now being fully restored. Enjoy the sense of history with the garden being an integral part of Tintern Abbey. Time here to have lunch in the café, enjoy a tour of Tintern Abbey and explore the extensive woodland walks.
We then travel to KILMOKEA HOUSE to enjoy dinner and overnight in this special country manor house.

Travel to MOUNT CONGREVE GARDENS, KILMEADEN, CO. WATERFORD. This garden was the life-long creation of Mr. Ambrose Congreve and now has one of the largest collection of Rhododendrons in the world. Our visit is timed to see them in flower and we will enjoy a guided tour from garden curator Michael White as well as time to explore this very extensive garden with grounds alongside the river Suir.
Travel back to KILMOKEA HOUSE & GARDENS to have lunch in the Conservatory café and explore the gardens, with the woodland walks especially beautiful in April. Plenty of time to relax and enjoy the tranquil surrounds of this manor house or have a swim in the indoor pool.
Dinner here with overnight.

Travel to west Wicklow to HUNTINGBROOK GARDENS to explore this idiosyncratic garden belonging to Jimi Blake, renowned plantsman and plant hunter.
Then travel close by to his sister JUNE BLAKE’S garden where you will be impressed by the design and incredible planting of this garden which will have tulips on display.
Lunch in the café here, then return to Dublin mid afternoon for drop off to Hotels.
